Who runs this site

This site is run by Alessandro Miccolo, as an individual, who is responsible for your data under the GDPR (the “controller”): Am Anger 5, 86571 Langenmosen, Germany. You can reach Alessandro at alessandro@mscplanner.com. More in the imprint.

What the contact form collects, and why

When you send a message, we receive your work email and your university and programme, plus your name, role and message if you add them. We use them to reply to you and to follow up with you about Vetta.

Sending a message is voluntary, but we can’t reply without an email address.

Our legal basis

• If your enquiry is about working with Vetta, we handle your details to take the steps you ask for before a possible agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Otherwise, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and following up on them (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Technical request data, the spam count and error details are handled in our legitimate interest in running this site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Where your details go

• Vercel, a US company that hosts this website, handles your message when you send it and, like any web host, briefly logs technical request data such as your IP address.
• Your message is stored in our database in Frankfurt, Germany. The database is run by Neon, a US company.
• To stop spam, we count the messages sent from each IP address for 10 minutes. This count may be kept with Upstash, a US company.
• An alert email about your message is sent to Alessandro through Resend, which is based in the US.
• If something fails while your message is handled, technical error details may go to our error-monitoring service, Sentry, which is also based in the US.

These providers handle your details only on our behalf, under their data-processing terms (Art. 28 GDPR). We don’t share your details with anyone else, sell them or use them for newsletters.

Transfers outside the EU

Because these providers are US companies, your details may be processed in the United States. For providers certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, the transfer rests on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for it (Art. 45 GDPR). Otherwise it rests on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses in the provider’s data-processing terms (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Ask us for a copy of the safeguards that apply.

How long we keep them

Until 24 months after our last contact with you, or sooner if you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, to correct or delete them, to restrict how we use them, or to receive them in a portable format. Where we rely on our legitimate interest, you can object at any time, and we’ll stop unless we have compelling reasons to continue. Email alessandro@mscplanner.com and we’ll act on your request.

You can also complain to a data-protection authority, for example the one where you live or the one responsible for us: the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, lda.bayern.de).

We make no automated decisions about you.

Page views

We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies. We rely on our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are read (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Booking a call

If you book a call through our booking page, the booking happens on Cal.com, under Cal.com’s own privacy policy.

Fonts and embeds

Our fonts are served from our own domain, and this site has no third-party embeds.
